Fowlis & Liff

Fowlis St Marnocks is a church building the Church of Scotland wants to sell. The video above shows you inside. Be inspired to think what the wider community could do here, to use it as an asset. Get in touch (see below) with your ideas.

Fowlis is a small village, neighbour to Liff village which has a Primary School.

It's in the lower Sidlaw hills, 5 miles north-west of Dundee city centre  and 6 miles south of Kirkton of Auchterhouse.

The church for both Liff and Fowlis is Fowlis St. Marnock's. The building is of artistic historical importance.

Address: Fowlis Easter, DD2 5SB - it's on google maps, too.

Most Sundays the 11 am service is in Muirhead,

but on the 1st Sunday of the month at 11am the public service of worship is in St Marnock's Fowlis instead. It's a Sunday congregation of around 40.

All are also broadcast on Zoom - contact for zoom details here

The congregation is supporting, among other things, with Lundie&Muirhead Church people,  Messy Church and Holiday Club for young people. Also together:

  • A monthly 'Sunshine Club' meeting
  • prayer group on zoom - see events calendar
  • Friendship Group
  • monthly coffee morning
  • soup lunches
  • Caledonia worship
