Wedding / blessing of partnership

  • Your wedding can be a service in church (or elsewhere) and one of our ministers can officiate your wedding service. All we ask for is a local connection.

As local church we need to prioritise people with a meaningful local connection (if you are entirely rooted somewhere else, we encourage you to seek a church wedding there so you benefit from the encouragement and loving community your local church can be).

We value inclusion as Christ included people:

  • You do not need to be a church member.
  • You can be divorced (as in the Church of Scotland marriage is not a sacrament).
  • You can be same-sex. (Catriona and Marc have registered for same-sex marriages and can officiate at your wedding;  Church of Scotland same-sex marriages - more information here. )

Your lives, your authentic selves are key - we want to be flexible and support you in being yourself as God made you who you are.

If you are already married and want to renew your marriage vows, at any time or age, you can do so in a service of blessing.

Interested? It's best to meet with one of our ministers. We'd love to hear your story, your thoughts. We'll do or best to enable your creative ideas.

Our first interest is your wellbeing, your happiness and love; because of God's love for all the world.
