Longforgan is a long village of 1,600 people with its own Primary School.  The village is overlooking the broad flat Tay valley, where an excellent cycle route connects places. Longforgan is 3 miles west of Invergowrie and 4 miles east of Inchture.

The Church is in the middle of the village, on the main street; its steeple is prominent. The church main entry door is in under the tower. Address: Main St, Longforgan, DD2 5HB - it's on google maps, too.

The Church Hall is just east of the church, directly on the Main Street, Number 70, access through a wide gap in the wall.

Affirmation Statement:

We affirm the dignity of all people.

All are welcome in this place.

Worship is most Sundays 11am inside the church ('hall of friendship' part).; exception: first Sunday in November, January, March, ... see events calendar.

Toys are at hand for young ones.

The Sunday congregation is around 25 people who are very engaging whilst also giving space for quiet people too.

  • A monthly Guild meeting
  • a weekly 'Pop-in' Café for both parents and child-minders around school-drop-off times and other local people: Wednesdays 9 - 11 am in the church hall (Main Street, separate entry, east of the church)
  • a table tennis meeting open to anyone: Mondays 7 - 9 pm in the church hall (Main Street, separate entry, east of the church); this is more about joy and company than about producing olympians!

Together with the Longforgan Community Trust we have the vision of making the church a big flexible modern community venue,  all purpose, of which the church people would be one user among others.

Session clerk is Vivien Buchan
